MIC WARS | ASTON STEALTH vs. RODE PROCASTER
Aston Stealth vs. Rode Procaster (dynamic broadcast microphones)
In this corner we have the Aston Stealth. A large format broadcast and studio quality dynamic microphone. It has a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz and a price tag of $399.
And in this corner, the legendary RODE Procaster. A large format broadcast quality dynamic microphone. It has a frequency response of 75Hz to 18KHz, and a price tag of $229.
Both of these dynamic microphones require A LOT of gain, ideally, a minimum of 50-60 db. For the Stealth we will use it’s integrated Class-A mic pre-amp, which is activated by Phantom Power. And for the Procaster, we will use the Cloudlifter mic pre-amp.
Which of these microphones will survive round one? Titan vs. Titan. Aston vs. RODE!
