Pro Tools | Drag and Drop from the Clip List LIKE A BOSS!
The two different drop options when dragging clips from the Clip List in Pro Tools.
Pro Tools will let you drag and drop clips from the Clip List into the timeline in two different “drop orders”. The default setting will drop multiple selected clips from top to bottom and will give you a new track for each clip, this applies to both audio and MIDI.
But, you also have the option to set the Timeline Drop Order to ‘LEFT to RIGHT’. With that setting you can place multiple clips from the Clip List onto one track and they will be placed left to right.
Try it out.
