Pro Tools | Combine/Merge MIDI Clips LIKE A BOSS!
How to combine or merge an existing MIDI clip into another MIDI clip in Pro Tools.
MIDI Merge is used for live performance of MIDI in order to add notes to an existing MIDI clip. But, if you want to add notes from one MIDI clip into another MIDI clip you use the Paste Special – Merge command.
When you do this you can take MIDI notes from existing MIDI clips and combine them together into one MIDI clip without overwriting the current notes.
Copy the clip you want to merge, select the clip you want to merge the notes into (or make a selection) and use Alt+M to merge your notes.
