MIC WARS! The MXL USB .006 condenser microphone vs. the Zoom H1 XY microphones.
The MXL USB .006 is a medium diaphragm condenser microphone with a 22mm diaphragm. It has a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz. It is a USB microphone that plugs directly into your computer.
The Zoom H1 is a self-contained recorder with a stereo XY condenser microphone. It can also be used as a USB microphone and audio interface. The Zoom H1 has been replaced with the newer Zoom H1n.
We will test these microphones on voice for applications such as podcasts, voice-over, YouTube videos, etc…
You will hear several samples from different distances. There are raw samples and processed samples. The processed samples use iZotope Nectar 2.
