Pro Tools – Name Inputs and Outputs

If the names of your Inputs do not match your interface, or they are hard to read [i.e. Input 1 / Input 2.L (Mono)]

You can change the names of the Inputs, Outputs, and Buses in the I/O. (Setup —> I/O)

Once you have everything named correctly, it’s a good idea to Export your settings.

Now, anytime you trash preferences, re-install Pro Tools, or switch between interfaces, you can quickly Import the correct settings for your audio interface.
