SHURE Broadcast Mic Boom Arm – REVIEW

The Shure SH-BROADCAST1 Articulating Desktop Microphone Boom Arm, which is made by Gator (and is very similar to the Gator Frameworks Pro 4000 Series Mic Arm) is a spring loaded mic arm with tension knobs to lock it down.

It has 32.25″ of extension, and the included desk clamp can fit desks up to 2.17″ thick.

Also included is a 3″ mic extension for use with SM7B style microphones, and this allows a full 360 degrees of rotation for your mic so you can get it into the position you need.

The Shure arm has a channel for the XLR cable which hides it along the body, though you will see the cable along the joints. But, you can easily replace the cable whenever you need, which is not always possible with tube style microphone arms like the Gator Frameworks Deluxe 3000 Series Mic Arm.

It will fit both 3/8 and 5/8 mic mounts/clips (which is basically every mic since those are the EU and US standards)

Operation is quiet, no squeaking, and it’s easy to get into all kinds of positions.

It has the same build quality as other Gator made mic arms, and it sports a black and lime green color scheme.

Works great for podcasting, YouTube, Streaming, Gaming, online meetings, and singing.

XLR cable NOT included.
