The Shure SM58 is a legendary dynamic microphone. It is an XLR microphone and does NOT require phantom power. It has a frequency response of 50Hz-15KHz
The Rode Procaster is a large diaphragm broadcast quality dynamic microphone. It has a frequency response of 75Hz-18KHz. It is an XLR microphone, and does NOT require phantom power.
We will test these microphones on voice for applications such as podcasts, voice-over, YouTube videos, etc…
You will hear several samples from different distances. There are raw samples and processed samples. The processed samples use iZotope Nectar 2.
