Waves Electric 88 Piano is based on the famous Rhodes Mark I 88 key electric piano. This piano helped to define the sound of the 1970’s, and Waves has captured that vibe with this virtual instrument.
Waves Electric 88 was sampled from a road worn, vintage Mark I 88. It includes two version of the sample library – the Standard Definition (SD) and the High Definition (HD).
You can install both versions or just one. You would use the SD version to save on hard drive space and be easier on system resources. Use the HD version for the best sound.
This electric piano also includes built-in effects (tremolo, autopan, phaser, chorus, & reverb), velocity control, formant, a mixer for the main sound, tines, and other piano noises, compression, amp, mic, tone stack, volume, and a brick-wall limiter.
You can use Electric 88 standalone (no DAW), or within any DAW since it’s VST, AU, and AAX compatible.
