Learn Microphone Pickup/Polar Patterns in a SNAP

Learn the three basic microphone pickup/polar patterns in a LITERAL snap!
Some microphones have a fixed polar pattern, others let you switch between patterns. Either way, it’s extremely important that you know the difference between patterns so you choose the correct mic for each situation. The three patterns shown in this video are:
Cardioid
Sensitive from the front, rejects sound from sides and rear.
Figure-8 (Bi-Directional)
Sensitive from the front and rear, rejects sound from the sides.
Omni
Sensitive all around the mic.
