How to Automatically Open the Effect Editor When Placing an Effect on a Clip in Avid Media Composer
The default way to get to the Effect Editor in Media Composer is to place your effect on a clip, and then manually enter Effect Mode.
But, you have the option to have the Effect Editor automatically open when you drop your effect on a clip.
Head to:
Settings – Timeline – Edit Tab, and check the box that says, ‘Applying Effects opens Effect Editor‘.
Now when you place an effect, you will automatically be presented with the Effect Editor to manipulate your effect. This works with both video clips and audio clips.
