How to easily build up your MIDI tracks in Pro Tools by using MIDI Merge.

MIDI Merge lets you add notes to an already existing MIDI clip. Normally, you would erase MIDI notes on a track when you record over an already existing MIDI clip, but with MIDI Merge, you can continue to add to your performance, one step at a time. It works great with Loop Playback too.

Build up a string section one instrument at a time. Build up your drum track by recording the kick first, then the snare, then the hats, etc… Easily create complex arpeggios, chords, and melodies with pianos or synths. Try it out.
